Founded in 1986, the Eric Coatalem gallery specializes in French and Italian Old Master paintings, drawings and sculptures from the 17th to the 20th century.

Multiple monographic exhibitions have been held: Baugin in 1994, George Augustus Wallis in 1998 and 2001, François Perrier in 2005, Gustav Klimt in 2008, Louyse Moillon in 2009. In 2013 an exhibition with over fifty French paintings of the seventeenth century was organized in collaboration with the Patrice Bellanger gallery. In 2015, two exhibitions featured the rediscovery of a major painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard and a tribute to the gallery Cailleux.

Since 1994, Eric Coatalem has exhibited in Paris, at the Biennale des Antiquaires, at the Salon du Dessin and at  TEFAF in Maastricht and sells his paintings find homes in both private collections and international museums, including The Musée du Louvre, the Paul Getty Museum and the Metropolitan Museum.
