Founded by Philippe Bismuth and Vincent Amiaux on the Rive Droite in Paris in 1998, the Galerie des Modernes initially specialized in French master paintings dating from 1910–1940, before enlarging their range to incorporate the whole of the 20th century.
Located in the Carré Rive Gauche since 2012, the two floor gallery opened at 13 rue des Saint-Pères in the 6th arrondissement in 2016. The gallery presents carefully selected paintings, drawings and sculptures by modern masters from the early twentieth century upto the nineteen eighties.
The Galerie des Modernes is a member of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (CPGA).
