Established in 1901, Librairie Clavreuil is located between the Sénat, Luxembourg garden and Odéon square, in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris VI).
Bernard Clavreuil, third generation of this family of antiquarian booksellers established in the Quartier Latin, has been running the shop at 19 rue de Tournon for over 50 years. His son Stéphane Clavreuil opened “Stephane Clavreuil Rare Books” in London.
The Clavreuil family has made the Clavreuil bookshop one of the main references in the field of antiquarian books, both for the quality of the books and provenance and their exceptional condition, aimed at the most demanding bibliophiles.
Bernard and Stéphane Clavreuil specialise in rare books and manuscripts from the 13th to the 19th century, first editions of works mainly related to the history of ideas, great discoveries in medicine, science, literature and travel books.
