Galerie Furstenberg

Since 2001, Galerie Furstenberg has been an expert and specialized dealer in pre-Columbian art. This art includes works created by all the peoples of the central and southern continent of America, before its discovery by Christopher Columbus in the 15th century.

The rediscoveries of these forgotten as anihilated cultures and the first excavations, will only take place from the 1870s and for a little hundred years, before the 1970 UNESCO convention prohibited the export from the countries of origin, of any artifact discovered, both towards the international collections of Museums as private hands. This is the reason why these artworks have become today as rare as precious, because existing now in very limited numbers on the market.

Moreover, all the artifacts we present have been scientifically validated (Thermoluminescence, Carbon 14, electronic microscope) and each one is sold with its passport issued by Museums of France, thus guaranteeing their legal free circulation in Europe and their official export everywhere else in the world.
