With his love for color and playful reinvention, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is one of France’s most whimsical designers.

In the 1980s, he made waves with his teddy bear and Lego dresses, later collaborating with Keith Haring, Lady Gaga, and Madonna.

A multidisciplinary creator, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac also designed the monumental tapestry for the French National Assembly, the stained-glass windows of Saint-Eustache church in Paris or a series of liturgical garments and ornaments for the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

His universe lies between art, fashion, and pop culture, always infused with humor and poetry.
