Based at 40 rue de l’Université in Paris, Galerie Mercier has specialised since 2019 in the purchase, sale and appraisal of paintings, drawings and sculptures by living artists.
Grégoire Mercier began working in 2010 at the Thierry Mercier gallery. Under his father’s guidance, he trained in 19th- and 20th-century painting. At the end of 2018, Grégoire took over the gallery with the ambition of bringing a modern touch, introducing new audiences to living artists.
Galerie Mercier has built a loyal client base including private collectors, museums and institutions. The gallery has also arranged major sales and loans with public and private institutions such as the Natural History Museum and the Maison Caillebotte.

Born in Gubbio in 1977, Chiara Gaggiotti grew up in Rome, where she lived until 2005.
After graduating with a degree in architecture from the Università degli Studi di Roma, she moved to Paris and continued her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure de Paris Belleville, where she taught observational drawing and spatial representation.
Since 2015, she has devoted herself exclusively to painting, drawing and teaching.
Chiara Gaggiotti paints views of her flat-studio or scenes from her travels in Italy. Whether depicting a corner of a table, a trilogy of bowls, an urban view or the Roman mountains, her painting explores a sense of intimacy.
