The Paul Prouté Art Gallery was founded nearly 150 years ago; since 1920, it has been based on Rue de Seine, in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. It is now run by the fourth generation of art dealers.
Through the publication of two catalogues a year (in June and December), it offers a wide selection of drawings and prints from the 16th century to the present day, including original works by artists such as Dürer, Rembrandt, Goya, Whistler, Vallotton, Picasso, Matisse and Soulages.
Furthermore, the gallery regularly publishes thematic or monographic catalogues (Architecture and Ornament (2014), Portrait of an Artist (2020), Jean-Baptiste Sécheret (2021), Printmaking in 17th-century France (2023), Henri Guérard (2025). The quality and authenticity of the works are the gallery’s primary criteria; its many clients include the leading French and international institutions as well as discerning and renowned collectors.
In addition to the FINE ARTS PARIS fair, the Prouté Gallery is a founding member of the prestigious Salon du dessin, held annually at the Palais Brongniart (Paris).
